Beautiful Distractions

As a new author reviews can be a nerve-wracking distraction. I found one for BRIDE on the Historical Romance Writers review site which has tickled me ten shades of pink -- a distraction and a positive push as I dive back into VENGEANCE.

Here's the last paragraph of the review:

“A fast paced, highly enjoyable story of opposites attracting and overcoming the odds against them; BRIDE OF SHADOW CANYON is a fine example of the Western American genre. Rachell is a shy and less-than-domestic woman who knows what she wants and goes after it. She is stubborn and brave and strong in the face of adversity. Jed is a true American hero; a shadowy gunman who has lived on his own for so long, he has no idea what home and family mean; much less love and kindness. He is a man’s man; willing to protect the innocent at all costs, yet is afraid to believe in the power of love. I was greatly enamored of this couple and felt toward them like old friends; I cheered them on, I cursed the villains and I shed a few tears at the end. BRIDE OF SHADOW CANYON has earned a place on my “keeper” shelves; I don’t find too many Westerns that embody the genre nowadays, but this one certainly does.”
